Given Information -
Dimensions of the football field = 120 yards long and 53.33 yards wide
A total of 29 players can fit in 5 yards by 8 yards box.
We have to find how many people can fit on the field if the school wanted to cover the entire area?
First, we will find the area of the football field.
Length of the field = 120 yards
Width of the field = 53.33 yards
Area of field = Length  ×  Width  Area = 120 × 53.33   y d 2  Area = 6 , 399.6   y d 2
We know that 29 players can fit in 5 yards by 8 yards box.
Area of the box  = 5 × 8   y d 2 = 40   y d 2
i.e. 29 players can fit in 40 yd2 area.
 Number of players that can fit in  40   y d 2 = 29  Number of players that can fit in  1   y d 2 = 29 40  Number of players that can fit in  6399.6   y d 2 = 29 40 × 6399.6  Number of players that can fit in  6399.6   y d 2 = 4639.71
Hence a total of 4,639 players can fit in the football field.
