For this question, first add 5 to both sides of the equation toget:
$3{x}^{2}=25$
Now, we need to isolate for x alone by dividing both sides ofthe equation by 3 to get:
${x}^{2}=\frac{25}{3}$
At this point, we isolate for x alone by now taking the squareroot of both sides of the equation to get:
$x=±\sqrt{\frac{25}{3}}$
NOTE: We need the $±$ symbol since squaring apositive or negative number always gives a postive result.
