it's a composite function...
do you see how f ( x ) = x 2 you can think of this as f ( 1 ) = 1 2 or f ( 3 ) = 3 2 with any number or variable...
so to find k(x) you first plug in the f(3x+2) which would make thef(x) function = f ( 3 x + 2 ) = ( 3 x + 2 ) 2 = ( 9 x 2 + 12 x + 4 )
plug this into the k(x) equation for f(3x+2)
so k ( x ) = 4.5 x 2 + 6 x + 6
to find intercepts... set x=0
that will give you the intercepts of y
you can conclude that it is a parabola.
