y = ( x ) 3
1) to shift from side to side: add or subtract the units inside theparenthesis, + is to the left and - is to the right.......
y = ( x + 4 ) 3
2)to shift up and down: add or subtract the units outside theparenthesis, + is up and - is down.......
y = ( x ) 3 4
3) To reflect about the x-axis, distribute a - sign to y... like y = x 3 which is the same as y = ( x ) 3
4) To stretch or shrink horizontally, multiply x by the reciprocalof the factor you want to shrink/stretch it by, in this case its 4so multiply x by 1/4.....
y = ( ( 1 / 4 ) x ) 3
