The auditory canal allows sound waves to enter the ear, where they are received by the eardrums. Since sound is defined as the vibration of air particles, the eardrums are very sensitive to vibrations. As a result, the soundwave transfers its energy into the eardrums, causing them to vibrate. These vibrations are then detected by the auditory nerves to be processed by the brain, different sound waves have a unique amplitude, frequency, and harmonic Overtones which makes them recognizable by the human ear.
Result:
Eardrum.
