We have to calculate the angular width.
Here the wavelength of the visible spectrum are 400 nm to 700 nm and there are 565 lines per mm.
So the grating distance d=565 lines (mm) = 565 × 10 3   m
We represent that the maximum order integer value m at the observable angle θ = 90
Thus d sin θ = m λ r e d                 λ r e d = 700   n m = 7 × 10 9 m
So m = d λ sin θ
If the anglar width be d θ then
λ r e d λ v i o l e t = d sin ( d θ )
So sin ( d θ ) = λ r e d λ v i o l e t d = 7 × 10 9 4 × 10 9 565 × 10 3
So d θ = 3.03 × 10 7
Thus the angular width is ( 3.03 × 10 7 )
