Suppose a , b R n . Why is it the case that ( a T b ) b = ( b b T ) a?
I know that a T b = b T a, but I'm not sure why the above holds.

Note that a T b is a scalar. We have
( a T b ) b = b ( a T b ) = b ( b T a ) = ( b b T ) a .
