Calculation of the number of different phone numbers:
Since
we have 10 digit phone numbers that does not include the area code.
So,
For each face value we have these in store:
0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 (total 10)
Now
if we exclude 1 and 0 for the first digit, So it left with 8 digits.
So, it be like
8 P 1 × . . . . . . .
Likewise
8 P 1 × 10 P 1 × 10 P 1 × . . .
Now if add this,
1 × 1 × 1 × 8 × 10 ( 9 )
= 8000000000
