y = y 1 + y 2 y 1 x 2 x 1 ( x x 1 )
Over here variable y is a function of x, which is time. Therefore, y is a variable f and x is time.
a) f 1 = 1, when t 1 = 1 and f 2 = 4, when t 2 = 2. Substituting the values,
y = 1 + ( 4 1 ) ( 2 1 ) ( x 1 )
y = 3 x 2
Substituting x = 1.3.
Therefore,
y = 3 ( 1.3 ) 2 = 1.9
b) f 1 = 4, when t 1 = 2 and f 2 = 8, when t 2 = 3. Substituting the values,
y = 4 + ( 8 4 ) ( 3 2 ) ( x 2 )
y = 4 x 4
Substituting y = 5.
Therefore,
5 + 4 = 4 x
x = 2.25
