Simple set theory question with empty elements

Very simple question, I prob look like an idiot lol. but hey, I'm here to learn

so if I have a set A where $A=a\in N|{a}^{2}=5$

is set A then $A=\varnothing $ or is it $A=\varnothing $?

also, if it's the latter, if I have set B say $B=1,2,3$ and want to find the union of A and B, is it $\{1,2,3\}\text{}or\text{}\{\varnothing ,1,2,3\}$? and what about the intersection? if $A=\varnothing ,1,2$ and $B=1,2,3$, then $A\text{}n\text{}B=1,2$ right?

A system of linear equations is called homogeneous if all of the constant terms are zero. The trivial solution is obtained by assigning the value of zero to each of the variables.

a) Can a homogenous system of linear equations have no solutions?

b) Find all the values of for which the following homogeneous system has a non-trivial solution (has infinitely many solutions). Find the general solution for x,y,z and in this case.

x-2y+z=0

x+ay-3z=0

-x+6y-5z=0
