1 3 = 4 1 so reject (B)
1 5 = 4 1 so reject (C)
Therefore the answer is (D)
You could also create a new inequality by writing
3 x + 1 y
x 1 > y
4 x > 2 y 2 x > y
Using this inequality, it is quite easy to eliminate all options except (D)
