Get rid of the square roots of the denominator: 1 7 2 5 + 3
I squared the whole denominator, but that didn't help.
Also I searched for a propriety or identity like A 2 B 2 , but I didn't see one that could fit. Any help is appreciated.

To get rid of the square roots of the denominator, you may use a 2 b 2 = ( a + b ) ( a b )
1 7 2 5 + 3 = 7 2 5 3 ( 7 2 5 ) 2 3 = 7 2 5 3 7 4 35 + 20 3 = 7 2 5 3 24 4 35 = ( 7 2 5 3 ) ( 24 + 4 35 ) 24 2 16 35 = ( 7 2 5 3 ) ( 24 + 4 35 ) 16 = 24 3 20 5 16 7 4 105 16 = 6 3 5 5 4 7 105 4

How can I integrate 1 2 x + 2
Method 1
1 2 x + 2 = 1 2 1 x + 1 = 1 2 l n ( x + 1 ) + c
Method 2
1 2 x + 2 = 1 2 2 2 x + 2 = 1 2 l n ( 2 x + 2 ) + c
Wolfram Alpha suggests the first method yields the correct answer, but why do the two methods produce different answers?

For which natural numbers a fraction can be simplifed
I want to know how to check for which natural numbers fraction 7 n + 19 7 n + 2 can be simplified. The correct answer is supposed to be n = 2 k 1
I do understand that the denominator and the numerator have to have a common divisor in order to simplify the fraction, but fail to see how this particular problem should be approached.

If f ( x ) = a x x 3 1 + x 2 show that x [ f ( x ) 0 iff a 9 8 ]
Part of answer found online:
f ( x ) = a 3 x 2 ( 1 + x 2 ) 2 x ( x 3 ) ( 1 + 3 x 2 ) 2 = a + x 4 3 x 2 ( 1 + x 2 ) 2
My problem:
I don't understand why:
a 3 x 2 ( 1 + x 2 ) 2 x ( x 3 ) ( 1 + 3 x 2 ) 2 = a + x 4 3 x 2 ( 1 + x 2 ) 2
When i try to rearrange the left i get:
a 3 x 2 ( 1 + x 2 ) 2 x ( x 3 ) ( 1 + 3 x 2 ) 2 = a 3 x 4 + 3 x 2 2 x 4 ( 1 + 3 x 2 ) 2 = a x 4 + 3 x 2 ( 1 + 3 x 2 ) 2
And from there:
a x 4 + 3 x 2 ( 1 + 3 x 2 ) 2 = a + 1 1 x 4 + 3 x 2 ( 1 + 3 x 2 ) 2 = a + x 4 3 x 2 ( 1 + 3 x 2 ) 2
Am i making a simple mistake in the interpretation of the minus in front of a fraction?
