Simple random sampling is the process of selecting each individual randomly with equal probability .
If the simple random sampling is done with replacement then the sampling is known as simple random sampling with replacement.
Simple random sampling is a probabilistic sampling method.
In a simple random sampling with replacement technique the first individual is selected from the population and then replace back into the population. Thus, the probability of selecting the second individual has an equal chance of probability to select from the population. This process is continued until the required sample of individuals is drawn from the population. The probability of selecting is 1/N
If the simple random sampling is done without replacement then the sampling is known as simple random sampling without replacement.
In a simple random sampling without replacement technique the first individual is selected from the population and it will not be replaced into the population. Thus, the probability of selecting the second individual has 1 individual less from population . The chance of probability to select from the population is decreases. This process is continued until the required sample of individuals is drawn from the population. The probability of selecting is 1/N, 1/N-1, 1/N-2,....
By using the definition, consider the given statements.
Consider the first statement..
It is used when there is a need to emphasize one or more types of population item sampling.
As per the definition , the first option is incorrect
Consider the second statement.
requires both input and output parameters to be set when using a random number generator.
The second option is incorrect because the random generator does not require output parameter. If we input the parameter then output Is automatically displayed.
Consider the third statement,
is generally used with replacement sampling.
The third option is incorrect as per the definition it uses both simple random sampling with replacement technique and the simple random sampling without replacement technique
Consider the statement, Is a probabilistic sampling method. Thus, the fourth option is correct because the simple random sampling is a probabilistic method.
