Solve a system of inequalities
{ log 2 2 ( log 2 x ) + log 2 log 2 2 x 3 4 | x 2 1 | 3 1 x 2 1
What I've tried:Make substitution t = x 2 1 and solve second inequality:
4 | t | 3 1 t <=> 4 | t | 3 1 t 0
Where I got interval for t: 1 4 t < 0
And then for x: x ( 1 ; 3 2 ] [ 3 2 ; 1 )
But I have no thoughts how to solve first inequality.

Need to find a solution to the following system of linear inequalities:
x 1 x 2 1 x 1 x 4 4 x 2 x 3 2 x 2 x 5 7 x 2 x 6 5 x 3 x 6 10 x 4 x 2 2 x 5 x 1 1 x 5 x 4 3 x 6 x 3 8
Is there any systematic way to find a solution?

How can we express union of two or more constraints, for example x 0 y 0, in an inequality system as below:
f 1 ( x , y ) 0 f 2 ( x , y ) 0 f 3 ( x , y ) 0
where f i C 1 . This feasible set is not necessarily a convex set, hence there is not any linear inequality system for this problem. Is there any non-linear one?

Quadratic inequalities - why does the solution seem different for ( x a ) ( x b ) < 0 and ( x a ) ( x b ) > 0
3 2 x 10 3 x + 9 > 0
( 3 x 9 ) ( 3 x 1 ) > 0
3 x ( ; 1 ) ( 9 ; + )
So to find x we need to solve:
3 x > 9 and 3 x > 1 (1)
and we get:
x ( ; 0 ) ( 2 ; + )
Second example:
5 2 x 6 5 x + 5 < 0
( 5 x 5 ) ( 5 x 1 ) < 0
5 x ( 1 ; 5 )
So to find x we need to solve:
{ 5 x < 5 5 x > 1 (2)
and we get:
x ( 0 ; 1 )
My question is why in first example I get answer by solving 2 equations (1) seperately but in second example I get answer by solving system of equations (2)

Basic proof showing a system of equations is inconsistent
I have 8 variables, all between 0 and 1. I have a system of 4 inequalities as follows
a 1 x 1 b 1 x 1 + b 2 a 2 < 0
b 1 y 1 a 1 y 1 + a 2 b 2 < 0
a 1 y 1 a 1 x 1 + x 2 y 2 < 0
b 1 x 1 b 1 y 1 + y 2 x 2 < 0
Is there a way to prve it without expanding the absolute values?

How would one go about solving the system of five equations:
p 2 = p + q 2 r + 2 s + t 8
q 2 = p 2 q r + 2 s + 2 t 6
r 2 = 3 p + 2 q + r + 2 s + 2 t 31
s 2 = 2 p + q + r + 2 s + 2 t 2
t 2 = p + 2 q + 3 r + 2 s + t 8
over the integers?
