Fraction confusion
I read in a set of memoranda that if b x x = b a , then
x = a b a + b
How is this true? I tried working it out but I could not understand. Please help.

You have b x x = b a b x = x b a
That implies
b = x ( 1 + b a )
And finally, you get
x = b 1 + b a
And it's the same as
x = a b a + b

I think this is the step you're looking for :
b x x = b a
b x = b a + 1 = a + b a
