The unit volume d V = π y 2 d x
d V = π ( 3 3 ( x + 1 ) 2 ) d x = 9 π ( x + 1 ) 2 d x
Therefore V = 9 π 0 8 d x ( x + 1 ) 2
= [ 9 π x + 1 ] 0 8 = 9 π ( 1 9 + 1 ) = 8 π
