Let type A coffee be T A and type B coffee be T B
Cost of T A = 5.70
Cost of T B = 4.60
Let total pound of type A coffee = x A
Let total of type B coffee = x B
Thus, x A + x B = 143 p o u n d s(1)
5.70 x A + 4.60 x B = 759(2)
Multiply 5.70 to equation (1) and subtract to equation (2)
We get
0 x A + 1.1 x B = 56.10
x B = 56.10 1.1
x B = 51pounds – Type B coffee
x A = 143 51 = 92pounds
x A = 92pounds – Type A coffee
