lsentropic relations of ideal gases are permitted to flow across (c) Prandtl-Meyer expansion.
Isentropic relations of ideal gases are permitted to flow across Prandtl-Meyer expansion waves but are not permitted to flow across normal shock waves and oblique shock waves.
When there is flow across any shock waves it causes an irreversible loss and thus it cannot be isentropic.
Since shock waves consist of irreversibilities, the isentropic relation of ideal gases does not prove to be functional across shock waves.
