v = n λ
where v is velocity of sound, n and λ are the frequency and wavelength of sound.
Using the given quantities for air
332 = n × 2
n = 332 2 = 166 H z
For water
v w a t e r = n × λ w a t e r
v w a t e r = 166 × 8.5 (convert wavelength in to meters)
v w a t e r = 166 × 8.5 = 1411 m s 1
