Calculate the entropy for 2.3 moles of neon gas at T= 289 K and p = 0.8 atm. State your answer in J K as a number in normal form accurate to 1 decimal place (X.X or XX.X, etc.). Do not include units in your answer. Calculate the Helmholtz free energy for 1.3 moles of neon gas at T= 339 K and p = 0.9 atm

The entropy can be calculated from the Sackur-Tetrode relation:
The relation is:
S = n R ln ( e 5 / 2 K T P λ 3 )
where Λ = h 2 π m K T Λ = 6.626 × 10 34 2 × 3.14 × 3.35 × 10 26 × 1.38 × 10 23 × 562 = 1.64 × 10 11
The entropy is calculated as follows:
S = 2.3 × 8.314 ln ( e 5 / 2 1.38 × 10 23 × 562 K 0.8 × 1.013 × 10 5 P a × ( 1.64 × 10 11 ) 3 ) = 2.3 × 8.314 × 12.484 = 238.72   J / K
