To find the equation of the tangent require gradient ( m ) and a
point on the line (a , b ).
The derivative of y (dydx)=m
To find a point on the line use x = 1 substituted into equation
to find y coordinate.
dydx=3x2+4x3
when x=1: dydx=3(1)2+4(1)3=3+43=4
and y=(1)3+2(1)23(1)+2=1+23+2=2
equation if tangent is : y - b =m(x - a ) where m = 4 and
( a , b ) = (1 , 2 )
hence y2=4(x1)y2=4x4
y=4x2
