For a function f(x), its derivative dfdx is defined as
dfdx=limh0f(x+h)f(x)h
As f(x)=6x2,f(x+h)=6(x+h)2
and dfdx=limh0f(x+h)f(x)h
=limh06(x+h)2(6x2)h
=limh06x22hxh2+6+x2h
=limh02hxh2h
=limh0(2xh)
=-2x
and at x=7, we have dfdx=2×7=14
