(c) How many unique sequences of 3 objects that can be arranged in a row from 9 discrete objects? And number of arrangements? n? r?

(a)We have n=9, r=5
Use permutation formula:
Prn=P59=n!(nr)!=9!(95)!=15120
Hence, the answer is 15120
(b)We have n=8, r=3
Use permutation formula:
Prn=P38=n!(nr)!=8!(83)!=336
Answer: 336
You can do (c) using this example.
