I am new to logarithms and I am having trouble with this logarithm system.
log9(x)+logy(8)=2
logx(9)+log8(y)=83
A step-by-step procedure would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Use the fact that
logb(a)=1loga(b).
Hence, if we denote log9(x)=a and logy(8)=b , we get that
a+b=2
1a+1b=83a+bab=83ab=34
Now solve for a and b and hence x and y.
