The level of measurement is measuring the data in different scales. There are 4 levels of measurement
1.Nominal scale
2.Ordinal scale
3.Interval scale
4.Ratio scale
The nominal and ordinal scale used to measure qualitative data. Interval scale and ratio scale are used to measure quantitative data.
Here we can choose a ratio scale.
Explanation:
Volume is measured in a cubic centimeter. Here we cannot take the negative value and the starting point is zero. The difference between the data will be also meaningful hence we use ratio scale as our level of measurement.
Reason to reject other levels of measurement:
We cannot take nominal scale and ordinal scale because brain volume is numerical data, they are not categorical data. Hence we cannot take nominal scale and ordinal scale.
The reason to reject the interval scale is, the variable can be negative but in brain volume, it cannot be negative. Hence this is not an interval scale.
