Concepts used: Conversion formula for coordinate systems are given as:
a) From polar to rectangular:
[x=rcosθy=rsinθ]
b) From rectangular to polar:
r=±x2 + y2
cosθ=xr
sinθ=yr
Calculation:
Given rectangular coordinate is [5 180].
Here [r=5,θ=180].
Converrting into equivalent rectangular coordinates:
x=rcosθ
 x=5cos 180
 x=5 (1)
 x= 5
And [y=rsinθ
 y=5sin 180
 y=5 (0)
 y=0
Hence, desired equivalent rectangular coordinates would be [5 0].
