Let price of hamburger is x and price of hotdogs is y. Then,
2x+5y=18.75 (1)
5x+2y=23.25 (2)
(1)×5(2)×2
We get
10x+25y10x4y=5×18.752×23.25
21y=47.25
y=47.2521
y=2.25
From (1), 2x=18.755×2.25
2x=7.5
x=7.52
x=3.75
Thus, the price of hamburger is 3.75 dollars.
