A casino has been using six-sided dice obtained from Luckytown Dice Company for some of its games of chance. After a string of unusual rolls, the casino is concerned the dice are not fair (i.e. that distribution of rolls is not equally likely). They take a sample of 300 rolls. The observed counts are below. Calculate the value of the Chi-Square test statistic (Part of the calculations have been done for you). Please enter your answer to 2 decimal places.
 Value  Observed  Expected  Contribution to Chi-square Test Statistic=(O-E)^2/E 13650(3650)2/50=3.9224850(4850)2/50=0.0835050(5050)2/50=044350(4350)2/50=0.985345068950 Total 300300

The test statistic is calculated by using the formula:
χ2=(OE)2E
Then, the chi-square test statistic can be calculated as follows:
 Value  Observed  Expected  Contribution to Chi-square Test Statistic=(O-E)^2/E 13650(3650)2/50=3.9224850(4850)2/50=0.0835050(5050)2/50=044350(4350)2/50=0.9853450(3450)2/50=5.1268950(8950)2/50=30.42 Total 300300
Then,
χ2=(OE)2E
=3.92+0.08+0+0.98+5.12+30.42=40.52
Thus, the value of chi-square test statistic is 40.52.
