The general formula for a tangent at point (x0,f(x0)) is
yf(x0)=f(x0)(xx0)
Now we have that x0=4,f(4)=34 and
f(x)=12(x+2)2x hence
f(4)=164
Hence the tangent is
y34=164(x34) or
y=164x+1116
