We know the identity
x3y3=(xy)(x2+xy+y2)
The expression given to us is in the form (xy)(x2+xy+y2) where:
x=a, and y=5
Hence the expression can directly be written as a353=a3125
But if we are not familiar with the identity we can use the Distributive Property of Multiplication to solve this expression
(a5)(a2+5a+25)
a(a2+5a+25)5(a2+5a+25)
=(aa2)+(a5a)+(a25)(5a2)(55a)(525)
=a3+5a2+25a5a225a125
=a3125
