First you multiply the m with all the others in the second group, and then the -1
=m(m2+2m+6)+(1)(m2+2m+6)
=(mm2+m2m+m6)+(1m22m6)
=m3+2m2+6m1m22m6. now add like powers:
=m3+(21)m2+(62)m6
=m3+m2+4m6
