a variable in the numerator cannot have a negative exponent
a variable cannot be inside a radical
no variables or expressions in the denominator
For eg. 2x2+4x+1 is a polynomial
4x2 is a polynomial
3x is not a polynomial as x is inside a radical
But x8+x9=6 is an equation as it is has an equal sign.
Hence its not a polynomial.
