The equation given to us is in the Slope Intercept Form y=m*x+c where m is the slope and c is the Y intercept
The standard form of a linear equation is ax+by=c
So we first multiply both sides of this equation with 2
2y=2((12)x1)
2y=x-2
Transposing -2 to the left hand side, and 2y to the right, we get
2=x-2y
x-2y=2 is the Standard form of y=12x1
