Step 1
Given a system of equations,
$2x-\frac{1}{5}y=\frac{4}{5}$...(1)
$\frac{1}{3}x-\frac{1}{2}y=-12$...(2)
Multiplying (1) by $\frac{1}{3}$ and (2) by 2.
(1)$⇒\frac{2}{3}x-\frac{1}{15}y=\frac{4}{15}$
(2)$⇒\frac{2}{3}x-y=-24$
Step 2
Subtracting these equations,
$\frac{-1}{15}y+y=\frac{4}{15}+24$
$=\frac{364}{15}$
Therefore,
$y=\frac{364}{15}×\frac{15}{14}$
=26
Substituting y in (1)
$2x=\frac{4}{5}+\frac{26}{5}$
=6
Hence x = 3
Therefore the solution of the system of equation is x=3 and y=26.
