72 is even, so 2 is a factor and we have 36, which is also even, so we have another factor. Then 18 also has 2 as a factor, but 9 has only 3 as a factor, and 3 has also 3 as a fsctor. Hence, the prime factors are:
2×2×2×3×3=23×32
