The next number is 840. The nth term in the sequence is the smallest number with 2n divisors.
Probably the answer they're looking for, though, is 6!=720.

After some testing I discovered that these numbers are being multiplied by their corresponding number in the sequence.
For example:
1×2=2
2×3=6
6×4=24
24×5=120
Which would mean the next number in the sequence would be
120×6=720
and so on and so forth.
For Example:
2!=2×1=2
3!=3×2×1=6
4!=4×3×2×1=24
5!=5×4×3×2×1=120
6!=6×5×4×3×2×1=720
