Apply variable separable form to the given differential equation:
dy=x20xdx
Integrate on both sides:
dy=x20xdx
Step 2
On simplification:
dy=xxdx20xdx
y=x20logx+C...(1)
Where C is an integration constant
Given condition is: y(-1)=6
Substitute x=-1; y=6 in equation (1) to get value of C
6=120log(1)+C
Since log of negative number is undefined, therefore no solution exist to this differential equation.
