Using the following equation we can calculate the distance:
x=v0t+12at2
if the player start from rest v0= to a speed of v=6ms1 in time interval of t=1.5 s Using the following equation of motion:
v=v0+at
we can get the acceleration as:
a=vv0t
=(6 ms1)(0)(1.5)
=4ms2
substitute into (1) to get the distance:
x=v0t+12at2
=0+12(4ms2)(1.5s)2
=4.5 m
x=4.5 m
Result: x=4.5 m
