f(x)={x23xifx<22x+4ifx2
In the open interval, 0 The function will be, f(x)=x23x
As f(x) is the quadratic function. Thus, it is continuous.
In the closed interval, 0 Check its continuity at x=2.
Determine the left hand limit, LHL and Right hand limit(RHL).
LHL=limx2f(x)
=limx2x23x
=223(2)
=2
RHL=limx2+f(x)
=limx2+2x+4
=2(2)+4
