Step 1
Given:
The process of decomposing a rational expression into two or more simpler fractions is called partial __________.
Step 2
The process of decomposing a rational expression into two or more simpler fractions is called partial Fraction.
Step 3
Now the given statement can be shown by below examples:
5x4x2x2=5x4(x2)(x+1)
Now,
5x4(x2)(x+1)=A(x2)+B(x+1)   .........Eq.(1)
Now solving above equation:
5x4=A(x+1)+B(x2)
5x4=Ax+A+Bx2B
5x4=(Ax+Bx)+(A2B)
5x4=(A+B)x+(A2B)
Now equating the coefficient:
A+B=5   ..(2)
A2B=4   .(3)
Step 4
Now solving the Eq (2) and Eq(3):
Subtracting the Eq(3) from Eq(2)
A+B=5
A2B=4
3B=9
B=93
B=3
Put  B=3  in Eq(2)
A+B=5
A=53
A=2
Step 5
Now from Equation (1)
5x4(x2)(x+1)=A(x2)(x+1)
5x4(x2)(x+1)=2(x2)+3(x+1)
Hence It can be concluded from the above example that,
The process of decomposing a rational expression
into two or more simpler fractions is called Partial Fractions.
