Let M and V be the mass and velocity of the bowling ball; m and v be the same for the table tennis ball.

The kinetic energy of the bowling ball is

KB=12MV2

M=7 kg

V=3 m/s

=12×7×(3)2

KB=632 Joule

The kinetic energy of the  table tennis ball is

KT=12mv2=KB

v2=2KBm

m=2.45×103 kg

v=2×632×2.45×103

v=160.36 m/s 577.3 km/hr

This speed is enormously high for human reflexes. Clearly, it is not at all a reasonable speed for a table tennis bal in play.
