To convert binary to decimal, you just take the digits of the number as the coefficients on successive powers of 2.
Example 1: Express 10₂ in decimal.
10=121+020=2
Example 2: Express 111 in decimal.
111=122+121+120 =4+2+1 =7
Example 3: Express 1101001011010₂ in decimal. 1101001011010=1212+1211+0210+120
+028+027+126+025+124+123+022+121+020+020=4096+2048+0+512+0+0+64+0+16+8+0+2+0=6746
