We know, x=rcos(θ),y=rsin(θ)andx2+y2=r2
Step 2
Given 5r=sin(θ)
multiplying r on both sides, we get
5r2=rsin(0)
5(x2+y2)=y (we know y=rsin(θ) and x2+y2=r2)
5x2+5y2=y
5x2+5y2y=0
5x2+y(5y1)=0
This is the required cartesian equation.
