Let amount of nuts that sell for $2.50 per kg=x
amount of nuts that sell for $1 per kg=y
Total cost = cost of nuts of $2.50 per kg + cost of nuts of $1 per kg = 2.50x+y
Total amount of nuts = x+y
But resultant value of 1 kg nuts = 2.1
2.5x+yx+y=2.1
0.4x=1.1y
xy=114
x=11k,y=4k
total amount = 60
x+y=60
11k+4k=60
15k=60
k=4
Amount of nuts $2.50 per kg =11k=114=44
Amount of cereal $1 per kg =4k=44=16
The amount of nuts is 44 kg and cereal mixture is 16 kg to obtain 60 kg of a mix that will sell for $2.10 per kg
