Graph of a linear function is completely determined by two points on the graph of the function. By graphing the two points and connecting them with a straight line, the graph can be created.
Slope-intercept form of equation of a line is y=mx+c. In this form slope of the line is m and the y-intercept is (0,c).
Given function is f(x)=(12)x+1. This is equation of a line in slope-intercept form. The y-intercept of this line is (0,1). To get another point on the graph of this linear function take x=2.
f(2)=22+1=2
Plot the two points on the graph (0,1),(2,2) and join them with a straight line to get the graph of the function.
