How much of each must he mix to get 2000 L of 4% solution for his sprayer?

0.03(x)+0.08(2000-x)=0.04(2000)
Solve for x:
0.03x+160-0.08x=80
160-0.05x=80
-0.05x=-80
x=800.05
x=1600
So, the farmer needs 1600L of the 3% solution and 200-1600=400L of the 8% solution
