One side of the parallelogram measures 32.
Height of the parallelogram is 11.
Then the area of the parallelogram is:
=32×11
=352
The other side of the parallelogram becomes the diameter of the semicircles.
The diameter of the semicircle measures 16.
So the radius of each semicircle is =162=8
Therefore the areas of both the semicircles is:
=2×12×π(8)2
=64π
Step 2
Thus the total area of the given figure is:
(Area of parallelogram)+(Sum of areas of two semi circles)
=352+64π
=352+201.14
=553.14
Hence the total area of the given figure is 553.14 square units.
