Two circles (say) O1 and O2 intersect and have a common chord say (AB) of 12 cm long.

Angle of Point of intersection is 45

To find:

Length of radius of each circle

Trigonometric identities

sinθ= opposite side  Hypotenuse side 

Step 2

Consider the triangle AO1   O2 from circles

From chord AB, AN=6

Also θ=45

Now

sin45=6 radius of O1

12=6r

r=62

By similar argument

Radius of O2=62
