Since, it is given that, the triangles are similar and the ratio of corresponding altitudes in proportion to the ratio of corresponding sides,
ABPQ=ACPR=ADPS
taking ABPQ=ACPR
inserting all given values,
157.5=17x
or 15×x=17×7.5x=17×7.515=8.5
Hence, x=8.5 units
