Add the scores and subtract the penalty: \(\displaystyle{3}{\left({20}\right)}+{6}{\left({3}\cdot{15}\right)}+{2}{\left({2}\cdot{10}\right)}-{4}{\left({4}\right)}={60}+{270}+{40}-{16}={354}\) ponts.

You and your friend are playing a board game. Your final score x is 12 points less than your friend's final score. Write and solve an equation to find your final score.
Given:
\(\displaystyle{b}{e}{g}\in{\left\lbrace{a}{r}{r}{a}{y}\right\rbrace}{\left\lbrace{\left|{c}\right|}{c}{\mid}\right\rbrace}{h}{l}\in{e}&{R}{o}{u}{n}{d}\ {9}&{R}{o}{u}{n}{d}\ {10}&\text{Final score}\backslash{h}{l}\in{e}\text{Your friend}&{22}&{12}&{195}\backslash{h}{l}\in{e}{Y}{o}{u}&{9}&{25}&?\backslash{h}{l}\in{e}{e}{n}{d}{\left\lbrace{a}{r}{r}{a}{y}\right\rbrace}\)
From the given figure, it is clear that,
My friend's final score is 195.

If John, Trey, and Miles want to know how’ | many two-letter secret codes there are that don't have a repeated letter. For example, they want to : count BA and AB, but they don't want to count“ doubles such as ZZ or XX. Jobn says there are 26 + 25 because you don’t want to use the same letter twice; that’s why the second number is 25.
‘Trey says he thinks it should be times, not plus: 26-25, Miles says the number is 26-26 ~ 26 because you need to take away the double letters. Discuss the boys’ ideas, Which answers are correct, which are not, and why? Explain your answers clearly and thoroughly, drawing ‘on this section’s definition of multiptication.. -
